How much can you sell your Ford car and Ford auto parts for?

From high-powered utes to family SUVs, a Ford is a common sight to see on our roads. As one of Australia’s most popular car brands, Ford has built a reputation for being reliable, easy to maintain, and reasonably priced.

If you’re looking to sell your beloved old Ford but are not sure what asking price to go for, we’ve rounded up what the typical second hand car prices are for different Ford models in Perth.

Ford Focus

Ford Focus cars were manufactured between 2002 – 2022, available in different vehicle types like hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, and more sportier models.

These cars made up Ford’s more budget-friendly range, with the first generation producing ‘compact cars’ in hatchback and sedan body styles in Australia – small yet sporty-looking, with enough power to get around quickly and easily.

For these early models, you can expect to get between $900 to up to $6,500*, depending on the body style, mileage, and condition of your car.

The second-generation cars from 2005 – 2011 got bigger and more family-friendly in terms of interior design, plus more modern features like Bluetooth connectivity.

The downside with these cars is that they were the generation for which Ford got the most complaints (as you may have experienced) due to parts reliability issues. Used cars from this period can probably get between $4,000 to up to $10,000*.

Next comes the even more modernised and upgraded third generation of Focus cars, available as either a hatchback or sedan in Australia. These 2011 – 2018 cars were built with infotainment features, a more powerful engine, stylish design, and higher quality materials.

If you’re looking to upgrade from your third-generation Focus, you can try charging between $10,000 to upwards of $20,000* for cars in exceptional condition.

Ford Fiesta

The Ford Fiesta hatchback is a small yet fast and economical car that’s easy to handle on the road. Sadly, these cars have recently been axed from Ford’s range in favour of SUV and performance-type cars.

If you have an old Ford Fiesta, you’ll probably find many keen buyers amongst teens searching for their first car, or other drivers who want something speedy and inexpensive to get from A to B.

Again, you’ll find that different generations will be able to command higher prices than others based on certain features and defects. Earlier Fiesta models are currently selling for between $3,000 and $7,000*, while cars in good condition from 2010 and onwards are selling for 11,000 to over $20,000*.

Ford Falcon

Named as an Australian national icon, the Ford Falcon car range stretches back from the 1960s until 2016 – so if you’re lucky enough to own a vintage Ford, you are sure to field plenty of enquiries from classic car enthusiasts!

For your more modern, everyday Falcon that will likely have plenty of presence in the used car market, these generously-sized and sturdy sedans and station wagons could probably fetch you between $3,000 to $25,000*.

Remember, it’s not just the car’s current condition and mileage that will impact on price, but also scarcity and desirability from certain categories of car lovers.
